- Work closely with underwriting teams, brokers and third parties to agree and implement new or amended wordings.
- Act as a specialist referral point and coach, providing expert advice, guidance and constructive challenge on wording-related matters.
- Proactively identify contractual, wording or market issues and deliver practical, commercially appropriate solutions.
- Maintain ownership and momentum of complex wording negotiations through to final agreement.
- Support underwriting and claims teams on technical wording issues to enable effective decision-making and claims outcomes.
- Contribute to product development, market research and analysis of emerging trends and market practices.
- Ensure compliance with Lloyd’s requirements, market best practice and TMK’s underwriting standards and controls.
- Support regulatory activities, including reviews and responses, with a focus on fair customer outcomes.
- Represent TMK at relevant market committees, forums and industry working groups where required.
- Contribute to training, knowledge sharing and the continuous development of wording capability across the business.
What we’re looking for:
- Strong technical expertise and credibility, along with a collaborative and pragmatic mindset.
- In-depth knowledge of insurance contracts, policy wordings and customer communications.
- Strong understanding of London Market practice, including reinsurance wordings.
- Experience with regulatory and contractual considerations across multi-jurisdictional business, including US surplus lines and non-admitted risks.
- Confidence engaging with Lloyd’s and regulators.
- Solid understanding of underwriting and claims operations.
- Excellent drafting skills and a high standard of written English.
- Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to spot and resolve issues effectively.

- Resilient and adaptable, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- A collaborative team player with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and market best practice.
