We are looking for a Catastrophe Risk Lead to join our Exposure Management team here at Tokio Marine Kiln. Reporting into the Catastrophe Risk Manager/Assistant Head of Exposure Management, you will play a key role in leading the analysis and management of exposures across our Marine and Energy natural catastrophe portfolios, covering global risks.
Responsibilities
- Lead Exposure Management and Catastrophe Modelling for relevant TMK entities.
- Support Underwriting teams with risk assessment, pricing, portfolio optimisation, and reinsurance strategy.
- Provide insights to TMK Management, Actuarial, and Risk teams to inform capital setting and utilisation.
- Own quarterly EMT activities related to natural and non-natural catastrophe risks, including data capture, analysis, and reporting.
- Drive data analysis and development projects, such as:
- Enhancing tools for risk aggregation, pricing, and underwriting.
- Evaluating catastrophe models and integrating new systems and methodologies.
- Champion continuous improvement in day-to-day Exposure Management processes.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will have a high degree of competency in numerical analysis and knowledge of the (re)insurance industry, including the London Market. Extensive experience in catastrophe modelling or other relevant fields and experience in modelling Marine and/or Energy risks is essential for this role. We are looking for someone who has willingness to take ownership and lead customer issues and has strong analytical, planning, organising and critical thinking skills.
