This role focuses on providing clear, timely, and practical compliance advice to ensure TMK operates within regulatory expectations, legislative requirements, and compliance risk appetite. You’ll be central to promoting a strong compliance culture—helping the business navigate complex regulatory topics, supporting policy development, and contributing to compliance training and awareness across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing accurate, timely oral and written advice on a broad range of compliance matters, including sanctions, trade restrictions, Lloyd’s licences, financial crime, and regulatory application.
- Assisting the business in identifying compliance-related risks and communicating relevant requirements effectively.
- Supporting post-bind screening of insureds and claimants.
- Reviewing and maintaining compliance policies and procedures, recommending enhancements where appropriate.

- Identifying, reporting, analysing, and escalating incidents and breaches.
- Responding to regulatory queries and correspondence as directed.

- Supporting the framework for agreeing trading relationships with intermediaries (including Broker TOBAs and agency agreements).
What you’ll bring
- Strong integrity, with the confidence to challenge constructively when needed.
- Sound judgement and decision-making abilities when handling queries.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
- Two years experience working in the Insurance/London Market.
- Exposure to international licensing, sanctions queries, and regulatory interpretation.
- A proactive mindset with a desire to improve processes and innovate.
Skills & behaviours
- Strong teamwork—collaborating with colleagues across Compliance, Risk, Legal, Underwriting, Delegated Authorities, and Customer Oversight.
- Ability to build relationships and work empathetically and collaboratively.
- Willingness to ask for support, recognise knowledge gaps, and commit to developing expertise.
You’ll have the opportunity to influence how compliance is understood and embedded across TMK—supporting the business in managing international sanctions and regulatory risk and navigating complex regulatory landscapes. This role offers exposure across the organisation, meaningful responsibility, and the chance to help shape a robust, forward-looking compliance advisory function.
