Job Purpose
As Talent Acquisition Advisor, you’ll influence how we attract and hire early career talent, deliver high-quality hiring outcomes for our regional offices (Bridgend and Leicester) and keep our contingent workforce running smoothly and compliantly. You’ll combine hands-on recruitment delivery with programme ownership, developing strong stakeholder & partner relationships, creating market leading candidate experience, and building a repeatable, high-standard approach to hiring at scale. Key Responsibilities
- Early Careers attraction, selection & delivery (Apprenticeships, Work Experience, Summer Internships)
- Own end-to-end delivery of Early Careers hiring cycles: attraction planning, advert posting, screening, selection design, offer processes and stakeholder updates.
- Design and run selection activity ensuring fairness, consistency and great candidate experience.
- Partner with internal stakeholders (Hiring Managers, HR, TA, L&D) and external partners (schools/colleges/ and D&I) to build an effective pipeline and a strong employer brand.
- Maintain clear communications with candidates and ensure a positive, professional experience from application through to onboarding.
- Contribute to the Early Careers strategy and lead execution of agreed hiring plans.
- Hiring delivery for Bridgend International Delivery Centre and Leicester
- Lead end-to-end recruitment for roles within the Bridgend International Delivery Centre and our Leicester office (excl. Underwriting), shaping job requirements with Hiring Managers, managing shortlisting/screening, coordinating interviews, and advising on selection decisions.
- Build local market insight and talent pipelines for Bridgend and Leicester, using appropriate channels and outreach to support volume and specialist hiring needs.
- Contingent workforce management (contractors / non-permanent hiring)
- Own day-to-day governance and coordination of contingent hiring: requisition intake, supplier engagement, onboarding steps, extensions, end dates and documentation; ensuring clean data and clear controls.
- Support the organisation’s contingent workforce approach, ensuring accurate worker records, approvals, and reporting.
- Partner with HR/Procurement/Finance stakeholders to maintain compliant, cost-aware contingent processes and reduce operational risk.
- Stakeholder partnership & process improvement
- Act as a trusted advisor to Hiring Managers; setting expectations, guiding selection best practice, and ensuring a consistent and inclusive hiring process.
- Identify bottlenecks and implement improvements with a focus on improving experience and quality across talent acquisition metrics.
- Recruitment operations, reporting & governance
- Maintain accurate ATS, ensure timely updates and MI such as pipelines, conversion rates, time-to-hire/time-to-stage and campaign performance.
- Ensure recruitment activity aligns with internal policies and appropriate data handling standards.
Skills and Experience Specification
- Essential
- Proven Talent Acquisition experience delivering end-to-end recruitment, including screening, stakeholder management and interview/selection support.
- Proven expertise in direct sourcing and proactive pipeline building.
- Experience supporting or delivering Early Careers hiring (apprenticeships, internships, work experience or similar) and understanding how to create a strong candidate experience.
- Strong organisation and prioritisation: able to manage multiple requisitions/programmes and high volumes at peak times.
- Confident communicator with the ability to influence and advise Hiring Managers using clear rationale and data.
- Demonstrable commitment to delivering an inclusive and high-quality candidate experience.
- Process-driven, detail-focused and comfortable working in regulated / policy-led environments.
- Strong systems capability (ATS + Excel/MI), with a commitment to data accuracy.
- Desirable
- Financial services / insurance / banking recruitment experience.
- Experience supporting contingent workforce management and/or working with a VMS/MSP model.
- Experience designing and running assessment centres/assessment days and structured selection approaches.
- Familiarity with attraction strategies for regional talent markets.
- Interest in continuous improvement and using recruitment data to enhance outcomes.
