Job Purpose: To provide temporary cover for a team member during their maternity leave period, ensuring continuity of finance operations and maintaining a high standard of service within the department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Daily cashiering for various business units / bank accounts and reconciliations.
- To assist in minimising unallocated cash for your line of business.
- Provide support to the team, the wider business and external clients in general queries.
- Making outbound payments for claims (liaising with the claims department) and ensuring these are completed within the given SLA.
- Carry out month end duties including bank reconciliations, cash clearing and any other Surety balance sheet reconciliations.
- Adhoc duties as required by management including providing support when colleagues are on annual leave/sickness/training.
Performance Objectives:
- Taking ownership of BAU, ensuring deadlines are met and maintaining a high standard of accuracy.
- Provide consistent and effective support to the wider finance team and business, resolving queries promptly and maintaining service continuity during the maternity cover period.
- Maintain exceptional accuracy and attention to detail when processing outbound payments, ensuring all payments are correctly raised, timely, and aligned with SLAs.
