Operations is made up of 7 functions; this role sits within: Procurement and Workplace Management. From identifying the scope of the goods and services required to deliver business outcomes, to negotiating pricing and managing the full lifecycle of contracts and suppliers, Procurement focuses on delivering Value For Money for the organisation. We leverage market intelligence and navigate the regulatory landscape to achieve commercial outcomes and reduce risk and complexity.
Role Purpose and Responsibilities
Job Purpose: The Procurement Excellence and Data Lead will be responsible for embedding and enhancing our operating model and associated frameworks, policies and processes, ensuring alignment with evolving regulatory expectations, and best practice across the Financial Services sector.
- Engagement and Training: Support the Head of Procurement Operations in driving and communicating procurement value proposition across all levels of business and supply chain, by creating and improving collateral (intranet, playbooks, self-service guidance), and running procurement clinics and 'Lunch and Learns'. Serve as the focal point and subject matter expert for Source-to-Contract processes and queries, advising on supplier and contract onboarding and due diligence, renewals and best practices.
- Operational Excellence, Optimisation and Digitisation: Lead the Procurement Demand Management and Orchestration workflow. Understand the intake of new initiatives and the pipeline of renewals, including scope, timelines and operational impact and enhance ways of tracking and working to decrease lifecycle. Identify opportunities and capture requirements to improve and innovate through redesigning ways of working (e.g. increasing self service), processes, automation and insights. Act as the bridge between Procurement, IT, Architecture, Compliance, Corporate and Business to capture requirements and evaluate emerging and existing technologies (CLM systems, AI chat bots, data analytics tools and system upgrades etc).
- Data, Reporting and Insights: Support Head of Operations and Supplier Risk Manager to oversee, manage and evolve supplier and contract master data to ensure data is routinely reviewed and maintained to mitigate risk. Own and drive creation of spend, risk and operational reporting packs and insights for executive and tactical decision making, performance tracking and value tracking. Partner with Finance, Data and Office of the COO for reporting and data standards and approach.

- Strong understanding of standard (e.g. Coupa, Fusion, Ivalue etc), best of breed (Zipp etc) and emerging technologies (AI)
- Ability to simplify complex frameworks and risk concepts into clear, actionable outputs
- Strong delivery and result-oriented mindset in complex regulatory environments
