Tokenovate is a next-generation post-trade automation platform for derivatives and SFTs. Our unified, data-agnostic solution ensures automated and seamless transaction processing across all asset classes, products and market infrastructures — no matter what you trade or where your assets are held.

By operationalising and embedding industry standards such as the Common Domain Model (CDM) directly into our platform, we harness the power of blockchain, smart contracts and tokenisation to drive automation, interoperability, and efficiency across capital markets.

Our team blends deep technical expertise with a pragmatic approach to enterprise blockchain adoption. We have offices in Cambridge (Cambridge Science Park) and London (City of London). This role is hybrid, based in Cambridge, with 2-3 days per week in the office.

As a Platform Software Lead/Architect, you will lead the design, implementation, and evolution of the Tokenovate platform services — spanning identity and access management (IAM), observability, cloud infrastructure, and platform APIs.

You will work closely with product management, engineering teams, and leadership to balance delivery with platform excellence. This is a hands-on leadership role, ideal for someone passionate about building resilient and observable platforms, guiding technical teams, and ensuring engineering best practices are consistently applied.

  • Lead development of IAM solutions, observability pipelines, internal APIs, cloud automation, and system integrations.
  • Own and drive the technical roadmap for platform services, aligned with overall product and business goals.
  • Provide hands-on technical leadership to engineering teams, mentoring and guiding software engineers and cloud architects practitioners.
  • Establish and champion engineering practices across the platform including testing, monitoring, deployment, and security standards.
  • Work closely with product management and engineering leadership to shape the platform roadmap and deliver robust, reusable services.
  • Collaborate with security, operations, and compliance teams to ensure platform services meet regulatory and internal standards.

Strong commercial experience in designing and building scalable platform services in a cloud environment (AWS, GCP, or Azure). Solid understanding of secure software development practices and regulatory frameworks such as ISO27001. Hands-on experience with TypesScript or similar backend languages. Experience leading platform engineering initiatives in a fintech, financial services, or SaaS environment.

Hybrid Work Model – Enjoy the flexibility of remote work while collaborating in person at our Cambridge Science Park office (2-3 days per week).

Competitive Compensation – We offer a strong package based on experience and expertise.

If you’re passionate about building scalable financial infrastructure, and working with an expert team, we’d love to hear from you!
