The predicted salary is between 43200 - 72000 Β£ per year.
This is a great opportunity for an Account Director with a strong background in corporate and financial communications, to join a team of exemplary strategic advisers. You will have in depth experience supporting mergers, acquisitions and disposals, as well as other special situations such as restructures, shareholder activism and litigations. Ideally you will have worked with both public and privately owned companies. You will be entrepreneurial and a big picture thinker, able to juggle multiple clients with complex needs. You will be comfortable working in a structured, yet fluid environment, guiding and inspiring more junior colleagues. There is a huge learning opportunity too, as the senior team have an exceptional track record handling communications in high stakes situations for clients across all industries. They see themselves as very much management consultants with an expertise in reputation management.
Responsibilities
- Develop a deep understanding of a clientsβ businesses to effectively interpret, develop and manage their communications strategies with a view to becoming a trusted source of advice.
- Generate ideas and communications strategies to present to C-Suite level executives with confidence.
- Play an active role in supporting new business activity, developing and presenting new business proposals.
- Proactively network with contacts and potential clients; maintain and develop relationships with relevant journalists, analysts and other key audiences.
- Expand existing accounts whilst maintaining a network of relationships within the marketplace.
Key attributes and experience required:
- You will currently be at least Account Director level or equivalent in agency, or a Comms Manager in an in-house function. A strong background in corporate communications is essential.
- A strong knowledge of financial communication including M&A and special situations.
- Creative, ambitious, and confident enough to deal with client matters at all levels.
- Excellent media relations skills.
- Adept at maintaining client service while juggling multiple demands.
- Team player, keen to take an active role in guiding and bringing on junior team members.
- Experience in proactive new business development β both in terms of developing credentials and proposals, as well as targeting potential clients and attending networking events.
Requirements
- 5 years + PR agency experience, or in an in-house financial and corporate communications role.
- A strong interest in and knowledge of finance and investment; a thirst for news and current affairs.
- Excellent written skills.
- Entrepreneurial and gregarious.
- Able to juggle multiple tasks and responsibilities.
