The Role
Are you someone who looks at how things are done and thinks, “there must be a better way”? We’re looking for a summer intern to join our Procurement and Supply Chain team, focused on automation and process optimisation. This role offers the opportunity to work on real transformation initiatives helping us rethink, streamline, and improve how procurement operates in a fast-growing, high‑technology environment. You will work hands‑on in a fast‑paced, innovative environment, contributing directly to initiatives that improve how we deliver as a business. By the end of your placement, you will have a strong grounding in procurement and supply chain, along with a unique cross‑functional perspective on how a complex technology organisation delivers projects at pace.
What you'll be doing
- Automation & process improvement
- Identify and develop opportunities to streamline procurement and supply chain processes using automation tools (e.g. Power Automate & workflows)
- Design and help implement automated workflows (e.g. requisition approvals, supplier onboarding and data reporting)
- Map current (“as‑is”) processes and define improved (“to‑be”) processes
- Data & performance insights
- Analyse procurement data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities
- Support the development of dashboards and reporting tools to enhance visibility of procurement activity and performance
- Contribute to KPI development aligned to operational excellence objectives
- Provide administrative support to the procurement and supply chain team

- Assist with sourcing activities, supplier engagement, and documentation preparation
- Create, track, and actively manage purchase orders
- Maintain accurate procurement and supplier records
- Actively manage and expedite purchase orders
- Cross‑functional collaboration
- Work with engineering, finance, and operational teams to understand requirements and improve procurement processes
- Engage with stakeholders to gather feedback on current processes and identify automation opportunities

Essential
- Currently studying a degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Data Analytics, or a related field
