Position Overview

We are looking for a customer-facing Sales Engineer to support our growing European sales team. This role is the technical right hand of our Account Executives across Europe - working closely with sales to drive deals forward through clear messaging, strong demos, and trusted customer engagement. The ideal candidate is based in the United Kingdom, with easy access to major transportation hubs (London, Manchester, or equivalent), and is comfortable operating across multiple countries and cultures throughout Europe.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sales Partnership: Act as the technical partner for Account Executives across Europe, support multiple deals across different countries simultaneously, and align technical solutions with customer needs and mission.
  • Product Demonstrations (Core Focus): Deliver high-quality, tailored product demos across different markets, adapt messaging to different audiences and cultural contexts, and lead Proofs-of-Concept (POCs) and technical validations.
  • Customer Engagement: Engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, represent Toka in a professional, credible, and clear manner, and build trust quickly in diverse environments.
  • Technical Expertise: Serve as a subject matter expert on Toka’s platform, support RFPs, proposals, and technical discussions, and provide feedback to Product and R&D from the field.

Who You Are

You are comfortable in front of customers - not just explaining technology, but making it clear, relevant, and compelling. You know how to translate complexity into clarity, and how to support sales teams in high-stakes conversations. You are technically strong - but what truly sets you apart is your ability to communicate, demonstrate, and build trust quickly.

Based in the United Kingdom (strong preference for proximity to major airports such as Heathrow or Gatwick). Native-level English speaker; additional European languages are a strong advantage.

Additional European languages (French, German, Dutch, or Nordic languages) - a strong plus.

Background in intelligence, defense, or law enforcement — a significant advantage.

3-6 years of experience in Sales Engineering / Pre-Sales roles. Strong experience in customer-facing technical roles. Proven ability to deliver impactful demos. Excellent communication skills - ability to simplify complex concepts. Ability to work across multiple countries and cultures. Willingness to travel frequently across Europe. Ability to obtain and maintain UK security clearance (SC level or equivalent) - UK nationals strongly preferred. Cybersecurity experience (strong advantage). Familiarity with: Linux / Networking, Cloud environments (AWS / Azure / GCP), Virtualization / containers.

Operational & Intelligence Background (Preferred): Prior experience in intelligence, national security, or defense organizations, familiarity with operational workflows, intelligence cycles, or mission-driven environments, ability to speak the language of the customer — understanding operational needs, not just technical specs and experience working with or selling to government, law enforcement, or defense agencies.
