Responsibilities

  • Assist young people accessing the Next Steps Service or homeless 16-17-year-olds in living at our internal supported accommodations, including providing outreach support to those in their own tenancies.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the young people\\\’s individual pathway plans and support plans; build positive, trusting relationships with young people.
  • Liase with young people, colleagues and other agencies regarding the tenancies the service manages and in relation to young people\\\’s support plans.
  • Communicate effectively with senior housing support workers and Support to Independence Management on a regular basis.
  • Provide information to young people and colleagues about the scheme and guidance on housing rights and responsibilities, benefit claims, life skills or other issues; ensure recordings are entered on Liquid Logic (social care database); work in a way that meets Supported Accommodation Regulations 2023.
  • This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and is therefore subject to a DBS check.

Requirements / Qualifications

  • Ability to work with young people in supported accommodation settings and provide outreach support.
  • Good communication skills with colleagues, young people and external agencies.
  • Experience or willingness to work within a framework that uses Liquid Logic or similar social care databases.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and working in line with regulatory requirements for supported accommodation (2023 regulations).
