The Role
As Venue Manager, you are responsible for the confident, seamless operation of the space. You oversee events from planning through delivery, lead the on‑site team, and act as a trusted presence for clients and partners. You anticipate issues before they surface and create an environment where everything feels considered, calm and under control.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operation of the space, ensuring consistently high standards of service, hospitality and presentation.
- Lead event delivery from planning through live execution, including set‑up, coordination and breakdown.
- Act as a senior point of contact for clients, building trust through clarity, consistency and follow‑through.
- Manage operational budgets and costs, ensuring events are delivered profitably and transparently.
- Recruit, train and lead the venue team, setting standards through presence, care and attention to detail.
- Ensure full compliance with health & safety regulations, licensing requirements and building standards.
- Work closely with sales and marketing teams to support bookings, visibility and commercial performance.
- Handle client questions, feedback and issues with professionalism, discretion and calm authority.
- Lead post‑event reviews to refine processes and continuously improve delivery.
About You
- Proven experience managing a premium venue, hospitality operation or complex event environment.
- Calm and decisive under pressure, with strong operational judgement and attention to detail.
- A natural leader who sets the tone without ego.
- Commercially aware, with experience managing budgets and event profitability.
- Confident communicator who builds trust quickly with clients, partners and teams.
- Strong working knowledge of venue compliance, licensing and health & safety requirements.
- Someone who cares deeply about how spaces feel, not just how they operate.
