As a Corporate Portfolio Director, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of Corporate Customers across Yorkshire and the North East, some of whom will have complex needs or may experience challenges that need support / corrective measures to protect the loan book. You will work with the Exec team to deliver appropriate risk strategies and credit limits for your portfolio. Working to achieve a commercially balanced sustainable solution, assessing the credit position and identifying the right option suitable to meet both the Customer and business needs. This will include assessing new lending opportunities and maintaining an ongoing review of the Customer's wider business to identify credit appetite.
As a Corporate Portfolio Director, we are looking for someone to:
- Develop relationships at all levels with your portfolio of Corporate Customers and senior stakeholders to enable successful business relationships; allowing us to manage, protect and grow the loan book.
- Actively own and manage allocated corporate accounts by implementing credit strategies to effectively & efficiently minimise credit risk; providing solutions and creating potential lending opportunities where appropriate.
- Manage, track & analyse departmental data to support the decision making process.
- Work with the wider business to identify & manage horizon risks.
- Maintain strong & relevant industry knowledge across all asset types, sectors and regions.
- Support the management of the department by identifying process opportunities to improve the outcome for Customers and our business.
Qualifications
- Strong relationship and portfolio management experience.
- Expert knowledge of the commercial & residential lending market.
- Deep knowledge of credit management strategies.
- Ability to effectively challenge and influence key stakeholders.
- Good understanding of financial accounts & cash flow forecasts.
