We are looking for a dynamic and experienced HR Business Partner to play a key role in delivering impactful, people‑focused solutions across the organisation. Partnering closely with managers and teams, providing timely, expert HR guidance while driving continuous improvement in HR processes and practices. Working alongside the Head of HR, contributing to shaping organisational development, supporting leadership capability, and guiding teams through change. Leading complex HR advisory matters, ensuring a high‑quality, consistent service that supports operational excellence and long‑term business goals.

This is a hybrid role, combining time at our National Office in Lambeth with home working and occasional travel to services across England.
Key Responsibilities
Functional Responsibilities
- Manage and motivate the HR Advisors and be a strong role model within the HR team to drive excellence and innovation.
- Work closely with the Head of HR to ensure delivery of strategic people plan objectives and proactively implement improvements and initiatives as required.
- Coach and develop the HR Advisors, ensuring they are multi‑skilled to advise on a wide range of queries and policies and can provide cross cover for each other.
- Ensure smooth onboarding and contract issuance processes and exceptional employee experience.
Employee Relations & Advice
- Provide coaching and guidance to managers on the application of HR policies and practices, and identify and implement resources and training to build confidence in managing people.
- Ensure HR Advisors provide expert advice on employment issues, policies and practices, including sickness absence, disciplinary, grievance, flexible working, probation and capability.
- Provide professional advice and support on complex HR issues and casework, including performance management, disputes, disciplinary and appeal hearings, and support for Employment Tribunals.
- Manage complex employment relations issues, including organisational change (restructuring, TUPE, redundancies).
- Promote good employment relations practice balanced against risk and business needs.
- Embed legislative and case law requirements into HR team practices and advice to managers.
- Work with the Head of HR to keep policies updated with legal changes and develop ways of working to meet strategic goals.
- Ensure Together delivers a smooth and effective HR service.
- Support employee health and wellbeing through effective absence management, Occupational Health services, and promotion of wellbeing resources.
Records Management, Systems and Data
- Ensure HR records management is effective and GDPR‑compliant, with appropriate processes for storage, retention and erasure.
- Support the Head of HR with analysis of KPIs and people data such as sickness and turnover.
General Responsibilities
- Ensure Together values, Service User Leadership, and Equity, Diversity, Inclusion & Belonging policies inform all HR delivery and challenge local practice where appropriate.
- Take responsibility for health and safety of self and colleagues in accordance with legislation and internal policies.

- No essential educational qualifications required, but must demonstrate strong numeracy and literacy skills.
- Credible HR professional with experience leading a team to deliver high‑quality HR advisory services, consultation and change management.
- Demonstrable experience developing effective HR processes, policies and resources and embedding them.
- Up‑to‑date employment law knowledge with experience applying it in complex situations and balanced risk appetite.
- Good understanding of data protection and GDPR legislation and implementation in the workplace.
- Commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion, with experience embedding them in HR policies and practices.
- Skilled in building relationships at all levels and a one‑team approach to delivery.
- Positive leader with strong team‑management skills.
- Great influencing and coaching skills with high emotional intelligence.
