The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced, autonomous practitioner who enjoys combining direct clinical work, consultancy, and training, while contributing to the development of a progressive, multidisciplinary service. You’ll be an integral part of a supportive multi-disciplinary team, working alongside Occupational Therapists, Psychologists, Advisory Teachers, PBS practitioners, Sleep Practitioners and others.

Responsibilities

  • Delivering specialist speech and language therapy at Universal, Targeted and Specialist levels
  • Supporting pupils with complex communication needs, including learning disabilities and Autism Spectrum Conditions
  • Providing consultation, advice and training to school staff, families and carers
  • Advising on complex cases and supporting the development of junior colleagues
  • Contributing to service development, audit and clinical governance
  • Work flexibly in line with Service Level Agreements and play a key role in ensuring interventions are impactful, evidence-based and aligned with professional standards (RCSLT and HCPC)

You’ll be a confident, compassionate and skilled Speech and Language Therapist who can work independently while collaborating effectively with others.

Qualifications

  • Essential: A degree in Speech and Language Therapy
  • Essential: HCPC registration and RCSLT membership
  • Essential: Significant post-qualification experience
  • Essential: Experience working with children, young people or adults with complex needs
  • Essential: Strong assessment, intervention and outcome-measurement skills
  • Essential: Experience of multidisciplinary working and providing training
  • Essential: Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Desirable: Working in specialist or educational settings
  • Desirable: Clinical supervision and service development
  • Desirable: Specialist training (e.g. AAC, dysphagia, mental health)
