We are looking for a Skilled Residential Social Care Worker to join our Adult Residential Care team. The role is to provide caring, safe and secure support for older adults with a range of physical, clinical and social needs, while promoting their independence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with physical support such as ventilation, tracheostomy, gastrointestinal tract support and PEG feeding.
  • Administer medication, perform moving and handling and provide personal care.
  • Implement and update hospital care plans, ensuring all paperwork and care plans are completed accurately.
  • Conduct assessments of need and develop care plans that reflect the residents’ wishes, feelings and best interests.
  • Provide direct care to meet agreed care plans and help residents reach their full potential.
  • Attend administrative meetings, supervision, appraisals, training and annual resident reviews.
  • Organise and lead activities with residents within the community.
  • Maintain up‑to‑date records, complete written reports for planning meetings and statutory reviews.
  • Perform domestic duties such as cooking and cleaning, ensuring compliance with health and safety policy.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Previous experience in an adult residential care setting.
  • Ability to work unsociable hours and adapt to varying shift patterns.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent written reporting ability, good organisational and time‑management skills.
  • Good understanding of the English language.
  • Driver’s licence (full clean licence held for more than 12 months) is preferred.
  • Legal age of 21 years or older.

Working Hours & Salary

  • 37.5 hours per week (five shifts each week on a seven‑day rota).
  • Flexibility to work any day of the week, including weekends.
  • Starting salary of £26,230 per year (£13.45 per hour) with biennial increments.
  • Sleep in payment of £107.60 for sleep and time and a quarter is paid for any weekend hours worked.
