Overview
We have an opportunity for a Residential Social Care Worker (RSCW) to join our Adult Residential Care team in Hazel Grove.
Responsibilities
- Provide a caring, safe, secure and accepting environment that meets the physical, health, social needs and rights of residents.
- Administration of medication, moving and handling, and personal care.
- Complete and update hospital care plans and forms in a concise and accurate manner.
- Assist with assessments of need, formulation of plans, and consideration of residents’ best interests.
- Undertake direct work designed to meet care plan objectives, enabling residents to reach their full potential.
- Attend meetings, supervisions/appraisals, training, and annual residents reviews.
- Perform domestic duties such as cooking and cleaning, ensuring compliance with health and safety policies.
- Participate in community activities and activities within the residential setting.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, completing written reports for planning meetings and statutory reviews.
Qualifications
- Previous experience working in an adult residential setting and flexibility to respond to unsociable hours.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to write reports with good organisational and time‑management skills.
- Good understanding of English to complete paperwork and care plans to a high quality.
- A full clean driving licence held for more than 12 months and aged over 21 years (preferred).
- Willingness to work 37.5 hours per week across a 7‑day rota, including any day of the week and weekends.
