We are seeking a Community Support Worker to join one of our community-based services in Brinnington, Stockport. Our service aims to provide extensive care, specialist positive behaviour support and promote independence and inclusion within the local community. We work to empower the individuals to take control of their own lives. The main focus is to provide the highest level of support to enable greater independence, choice and fulfilment for the individuals.
Working Pattern – 32.5 hours (full time). Hours range from 9.00am through to 5.00pm Monday to Friday. Some evening and weekend work is also required which is on a rota.
Salary – £22,732.67 per year, plus enhanced pay of time and a quarter at weekends. Full time equivalent salary for working 37.5 hours is £26,230 (£13.45 per hour).
Location – Berwick Day Service, Brinnington, Stockport a Together Trust Service.
Applicants with a full driving licence preferred. The people we support have a variety of complex needs which may include learning difficulties, Autism spectrum conditions, including behaviours perceived as challenging, mobility, communication, health and social care needs.

You will be working in a caring day service with the wider team under the leadership of the Team Leader, nurturing, and supporting the individuals providing them with all the care, love, and support that they would receive as if it was their family member.
We are looking for a Community Support Worker who has the ability and resilience to work with behaviour, which may challenge, in a caring and consistent manner, including the maintenance of appropriate boundaries for behaviour. Help us make a change to the people we support.
