Location: Lostock, Bolton

Hours: 37.5 hours - Full Time

Salary: £26,230

Enhancements: Sleep in allowance of £107.60 per shift and time and a quarter paid for weekend hours worked.

You will be working in a caring home environment with the wider team under the leadership of the Registered Manager, nurturing, and supporting the young people providing them with all the care, love, and support that they would receive as if it was their family home.

Responsibilities include but are not exhaustive:

  • Provide a caring, safe, secure and accepting environment that meets the physical, health, social needs and rights of the young people.
  • Assist with the assessments of need and formulation of plans.
  • Maximise educational opportunities and achievements for the young people looked after within the unit.
  • Undertake direct work that is designed to meet the young person’s needs as identified within the care plan.
  • Under close supervision take responsibility for key working at least one young person.
  • Develop and maintain a good level of awareness of child protection issues.
  • Maintain accurate and up to date records of the work undertaken with the young people.
  • Undertake a range of domestic duties, including cooking and some cleaning.
  • Take responsibility for the promotion of safeguarding and the welfare of children and young persons.
