Together Travel is recruiting an Assistant General Manager to support the day to day running of its John O’Groats lodge and apartment site. This role suits an experienced hospitality professional who is practical, organised, and comfortable taking responsibility in a high standard guest focused environment.
The role
- Supporting the General Manager in the daily operation of the site.
- Helping maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation, and guest service across lodges and apartments.
- Overseeing core site operations including residence checks, inventories, guest communications, and health and safety.
- Planning and coordinating housekeeping schedules and quality checks.
- Managing linen levels, stock rotation, and cleaning supplies.
- Working closely with maintenance and concierge teams to resolve guest requests and operational issues.
- Supporting guest arrivals, departures, and on site queries.
- Monitoring site condition through regular checks and reporting issues as required.
- Taking responsibility for site operations when the General Manager is off site.
- Supporting team organisation, scheduling, and day to day coordination.
- Contributing to guest experience improvements through feedback and small operational enhancements.
Working pattern
- Full time role based on site in John O’Groats.
- Evening and weekend work included as part of the rota.
- On call responsibility for guests when required.
- On site accommodation provided.
