General Manager

This is a challenging hands-on role for a commercially minded General Manager who is looking for an interesting and active role where they can take full responsibility for operations on a semi-rural site. With exceptional communication skills, the General Manager will be able to successfully lead the team to deliver exceptional service and standards to our guests and private homeowners. In addition, the General Manager will use their communication skills to build strong relations within the local community and local businesses in the area. We operate eighteen glass-fronted, premium self-catering Scandinavian lodges nestled into a hillside and take immense pride in offering our guests exceptional standards and a real home from home experience. Set in fifty-five acres of pristine countryside in Swaledale, it is a stunning location with exceptional views. It is rurally located but only a scenic, 20-minute walk from the charming market town of Richmond, perfect for a relaxing break or weekend getaway in the Dales. The General Manager has commercial accountability for budgeting and fiscal management, planning, organising, and directing all operations and housekeeping. All the lodges on site are under private ownership with the owners having exclusive, long-term contracts in place for Together Travel Co to cover all aspects of sales, marketing, and operations. The role will therefore include regular liaison and collaboration with owners to ensure their property is professionally managed and a successful rental business.
