In this 14‑month fixed term maternity cover contract role, you will join us at a really exciting time; as our £60m tech transformation project comes to fruition and new systems are introduced to replace existing ones. You will be at the forefront of this and will be thinking about how we use the system once it has been implemented by understanding user needs and objectives, defining a vision for products and aligning stakeholders around the vision for the product and by the prioritisation of features and capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership, functional management and support of the delivery train.
- Line‑manage a group of Product Owners and provide performance management.
- Support the evolution of Group Technology Services by reviewing and improving delivery methods.
- Engage with stakeholders to agree improvements to products and services that deliver maximum value.
- Work with stakeholders and Change Management on idea generation.
- Accountable for the delivery of change by your train on schedule, to budget and meeting agreed scope and quality criteria, including compliance.
- Accountable for the production service of the applications within the remit of the delivery train.
- Manage, prioritise and build into roadmaps and capacity plans to meet service levels and targets.
- Prepare for ‘live’ and define what ‘live’ looks like.
- Implement and manage success metrics for the product whilst taking responsibility for the entire product lifecycle.
- Work together with the Product Owners to craft a product delivery roadmap and execute this against its objectives.
- Accountable for planning and prioritisation of train delivery that balances business value, service stability and effective delivery.
- Build relationships with users to understand needs and challenges, disseminate to the delivery team.
Qualifications
- Demonstrate excellent strategic ability with a pragmatic approach.
- Experience presenting business cases and other content at C‑suite level.
- Strong understanding of all elements of the entire product management process.
- Experienced people manager with a track record of coaching and supporting colleagues.
