In my role as a Business Platform Engineer within our 'Colleague Tech Platforms' team, I will shape a dynamic digital workspace by deploying, maintaining, and supporting a suite of SaaS-based tools focused on the Microsoft 365 suite. I will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver well-architected, scalable solutions that enhance the colleague experience and align with industry best practices. Initially, I will be required to work from our office in Cheadle (South Manchester) for five days during the first three months and then three days a week thereafter.

Qualifications & Skills
- Seasoned experience with the Microsoft 365 suite, including Mail, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, Office Apps, Enterprise Applications, Copilots, eDiscovery, and Purview.
- Microsoft 365 Governance & Compliance: retention policies, DLP, and compliance center configurations.
- Identity & Access Management (IAM): conditional access policies, RBAC, and identity lifecycle management via Azure Entra ID.
- SaaS Integration & API Usage: integrating SaaS platforms using APIs, connectors, and automation tools (e.g., Power Platform).
- Monitoring & Observability: experience with Azure Monitor, Splunk, or New Relic for proactive service monitoring.
- End-User Experience Optimization: digital experience monitoring and usability improvements for M365 and other SaaS tools.
- Change Enablement: support for change management, including training, communications, and stakeholder engagement.
- Licensing & Cost Optimization: awareness of licensing models for M365 and other SaaS platforms, with cost optimization experience.
- Environment Build & Application Configuration: experience with InTune and AutoPilot.
- End-User Support: experience aiding end users and resolving issues.
- Team Collaboration: ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams.
- DevOps & Agile Practices: hands-on with DevOps tools and understanding of Agile methodologies.
- Analytical & Problem-Solving: strong capability to analyze complex technical problems and implement solutions.
- Application Lifecycle Management: experience managing applications throughout their lifecycle.
- Accountability & Delivery Focus: dependable and results-oriented with a track record of meeting deadlines.
- Interpersonal & Adaptability: excellent communication with a flexible approach to changing priorities.
