In addition to managing their own matters, the successful candidate will support the supervision, development and quality assurance of junior team members, helping to ensure consistency, efficiency and high standards across the team.

This role requires collaboration with other stakeholders across the business, including Complaints, Risk, Compliance, Recoveries and Operations and senior stakeholders.

It would suit an ambitious Senior Paralegal, Legal Executive or Newly Qualified Solicitor with a strong background in financial services volume litigation who is seeking to broaden their litigation skills within an established in-house legal team.

  • Monitoring court deadlines and ensuring compliance with procedural requirements.
  • Preparing concise case summaries, risk assessments and recommendations.
  • Supporting settlement discussions and dispute resolution strategies.
  • Assisting with possession claims and enforcement of security.
  • Working closely with internal business stakeholders.

  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently whilst contributing effectively as part of a wider team.
  • Background in process improvement or optimisation within legal workflow.
  • Previous in-house experience.
  • Experience of mortgage litigation, possession proceedings or recoveries litigation.
