This position is based at Meltham Moor Primary School, Birmingham Lane, Meltham, Holmfirth. HD9 5LH.

Salary: Teacher Scales. Contract: Permanent. Part time. Hours: 21 hours - 3 days plus PPA.

Closing Date: Wednesday 13th May 2026 at 9am. Interview: Wednesday 20th May 2026. Start Date: 1st September 2026.

What the role involves in a nutshell:

  • Take responsibility for a class of children determined on an annual basis by the Headteacher.
  • To carry out the professional duties covered by the latest School Teachers' Pay and Conditions Document.
  • The post holder will be expected to undertake duties in line with the professional standards for qualified teachers and uphold the professional code of the General Teaching Council for England.
  • Teach a class of children, and ensure that planning, preparation, recording, assessment and reporting meet their varying learning and social needs.
  • Secure and maintain good relationships, contributing to a positive culture with teaching and non‑teaching staff, parents and governors.
