We are currently seeking a Caretaker to join our team at Pendleton Togethe r. Duties will include cleaning communal areas such as stairwells, corridors, lifts, and shared facilities, managing internal waste and recycling areas, and supporting the upkeep of safe, clean, and welcoming buildings. You will also help contribute to a safe and secure environment within our properties and deliver a responsive, customer-focused caretaking service, assisting residents, contractors, and visitors in a professional and courteous manner. We are also proud to be a Disability Confident employer Outline of key responsibilities for the caretaker… To ensure communal areas are clean, tidy, safe and well maintained in accordance cleaning compliance KPIs. This includes the testing of communal equipment e.g. fire alarms and lighting as directed. Record work done using manual or digital recording systems and procedures. Support an enhanced recycling agenda including ordering and filling skips, emptying and rotating rubbish and recycling bins, unblock chutes when instructed and recording levels of waste. Work in a safe manner at all times, particularly when operating power tools and equipment, when driving and when using chemicals or volatile substances such as petrol, (refer to Health & Safety regulations, guidance, risk assessments and safe systems of work). Act as a point of contact for residents, responding to their queries, liaising with Together Housing colleagues where necessary & giving an excellent standard of customer service A Full Manual UK Driver\’s License Working knowledge of cleaning and caretaking equipment e.g. buffing machine, vacuuming.
