Plasterer in Wakefield

We are currently seeking a

Plasterer to join our Responsive Repairs team.

In this role you will be responsible for carrying out plastering repairs, ensuring that all work is completed to a high standard and within agreed timescales.

Your expertise will be key in maximizing efficiency by completing tasks in a single visit wherever possible to a satisfactory standard.

Responsibilities

• Carry out all types of plastering repairs to tenanted properties in accordance with job tickets, opti‑time appointment slots, specifications, contract drawings, good practice and Building Regulations as appropriate.
• Work with an ethos of “Right First Time”, always completing a repair where practicable in one visit, with good quality workmanship and a high standard of performance.
• Keep records as required, whether in paper or electronic form.
• Undertake measurement and quantification and procure materials requirements.
• Demonstrate high regard for customer care and satisfaction, protecting tenants’ furniture and belongings, cleaning up afterward, and communicating in a polite, friendly, and helpful manner.
• Carry out appropriate risk assessments prior to commencement of work and ensure reasonable steps are taken to protect health, safety and welfare of you, tenants, colleagues and the public.

Qualifications & Experience

• Full manual UK driving licence.
• City & Guilds Advanced Craft Certificate in plastering or equivalent NVQ Level 2 or higher (desirable).
• Experience of working competently in all disciplines normally expected of a qualified plasterer, along with other associated building disciplines as required.
• Commitment to providing a productive, high‑quality, reliable service.
• Literacy and numeracy skills sufficient to accurately complete job tickets, time sheets and other information.
• Working knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and its impact on building repairs.

• Working Hours

You will work a total of 37 hours per week, scheduled between 08:00 and 19:30 across any five days from Monday to Saturday.

Typical hours may be Monday to Thursday 08:00‑16:00 and Friday 08:00‑15:30, subject to change based on business requirements.
