Requirements
Key responsibilities for the Clear & Clean Operative include...
- Preparing empty homes by conducting property clearances, final cleans, and garden work as necessary
- Performing a range of waste management tasks, ensuring proper sorting and recycling of waste streams, and identifying furniture that can be upcycled to our Re-Use offer
- Collecting deliveries and ensuring the cleanliness and obstruction‑free status of the depot
- Motivating staff, volunteers/placements, trainees, and apprentices to provide high‑quality customer‑focused service
- Supporting all areasness of the department, including Mobile Cleaning, Estate Services Team, and Grounds Maintenance, as directed
- Delivering great services and maintaining clear and simple communication with residents
- Taking ownership of residents’ issues and striving for high customer satisfaction
- Working to the highest standards of health and safety, promoting a positive safety‑first culture
- Ensuring compliance with risk assessment, COSHH framework, industry legislation, and conducting basic checks, servicing, and maintenance of equipment
We are looking for someone who has...
- A Full UK Driving Licence
- Practical experience of Cleaning or Caretaking
- Experience working in a customer‑orientated environment, with a flexible approach to working hours
- Knowledge of and ability to operate relevant cleaning/caretaking equipment and machinery
- Knowledge of the Health and Safety at Work Act and specific site safety
- A good standard of literacy and numeracy for accurate record keeping
