As part of our Finance Transformation, we are hiring a TG Central Chief of Staff for Finance to complement the functionally driven finance team we are building. This role will drive projects that are not delivered in the central finance functions, as well as overseeing confidential aspects of TG Group’s operations. This role will form an important pillar in our London based team, ensuring cohesion across all central functions as we develop a best in class finance team for the group.

Role Purpose

The TG Central Chief of Staff for Finance will be the owner of several areas:

  • Participate in the development and maintenance of Internal Control framework together with other TG central functions.
  • Back up to other TG central functions where team size is small, ensuring no single points of failure (e.g., Treasury and Investment Analytics).
  • Custodian of key confidential matters relating to TG Central and the group.

This is a hands-on role combining operational delivery with project and transformation work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end project lifecycle for initiatives identified and agreed to be delivered: collection of relevant agency data, assessment of the opportunity, development of consolidation, standardisation or mitigation options, presentation of options, designing the project to change, delivering the changes in a programmatic manner, tracking of costs incurred and benefits realised.
  • Working with other functions, drive the development of a cohesive and complete internal control framework appropriate to the size and complexity of the Group. Participate in testing and results analysis of internal control matters.
  • Provide a natural back up to smaller TG Central functions where team size is small (e.g., Treasury and Investment Analytics). Participate in the development of smaller TG Central functions.
  • Owner of TG Central budget and cost control. Manage TG Group Share portal. Act as second in command to the CFO on confidential matters (e.g., compensation cycles).

  • Experience in a fast-paced multi-entity, multi-jurisdiction organisation driving change at pace.
  • Strong financial modelling skills.
  • Strong understanding of Treasury systems and processes.
  • Strong organisational skills able to work with all levels of the organisation.
  • Experience partnering with a wide variety of departments, advisers, and internal and external stakeholders.
  • Meticulous attention to detail with a strong sense of accountability and ownership.
