About the Role
Together Green Care is seeking an experienced and passionate Registered Care Manager to lead and develop our care services. This is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality, person-centred care in line with CQC standards and company values.
You will have overall responsibility for the operational management of the service, including compliance, staff leadership, quality assurance, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Register with the CQC as the Registered Manager and maintain ongoing compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Lead the day-to-day operations of the service, ensuring high standards of care, safety, and professionalism.
- Develop, implement, and review care plans to ensure they are person-centred, outcome-focused, and regularly updated.
- Recruit, train, supervise, and support care staff, fostering a positive, high-performing team culture.
- Ensure robust safeguarding practices are in place and that all concerns are managed appropriately.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with CQC, GDPR, and company policies.
- Build strong relationships with service users, families, local authorities, commissioners, and external professionals.
- Manage budgets, staffing levels, rotas, and resources effectively.
- Lead on audits, inspections, and quality monitoring, preparing for and responding to CQC inspections.
- Drive continuous improvement and embed a culture of learning and development across the service.
Person Specification
Essential:
- NVQ Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (or equivalent).
- Proven experience as a Registered Manager or Deputy Manager within a care setting.
- Strong knowledge of CQC regulations and regulatory frameworks.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
- Ability to manage change and lead service development.
- Strong understanding of safeguarding, risk management, and quality assurance.
- Full UK driving licence (if required for the service).
Desirable:
- Experience in supported living, domiciliary care, or residential services.
- Experience of achieving Good or Outstanding CQC ratings.
- Knowledge of commissioning and contract management.
