Senior Full-Stack Engineer

We’re hiring a Senior Full-Stack Engineer to take ownership of critical product surfaces and help scale the core systems powering our Takeoff Editor and estimation workflows. You will design, build, and evolve complex front-end architecture while contributing meaningfully across backend services and infrastructure. This is not a ticket-driven feature factory role. You will influence system design, technical direction, and product execution.

What You Bring

• Frontend Architecture & Performance
  • Architect and maintain scalable React applications handling large datasets and spatial interactions
  • Optimize rendering performance and responsiveness in state-heavy UI environments
  • Build complex user workflows around drawing interpretation, estimation, and visualization
  • Collaborate with design to ship polished, high-clarity interfaces
• Backend Systems & APIs
  • Design and extend Node.js (TypeScript) APIs with PostgreSQL and Sequelize
  • Improve service reliability, test coverage, and maintainability
  • Contribute to evolving our API architecture (REST → GraphQL where appropriate)
  • Own feature delivery end-to-end, from schema design to production deployment
• Engineering Excellence
  • Lead improvements in automated testing across services (unit, integration, microservice-level testing)
  • Raise performance and reliability standards across the stack
  • Contribute to CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions) and AWS deployments
  • Identify and eliminate technical debt proactively

What We’re Looking For

• Technical Depth
  • 6+ years building production-grade web applications
  • Strong expertise in React and complex state management patterns
  • Deep experience with Node.js (TypeScript preferred)
  • Solid understanding of relational databases (PostgreSQL)
  • Experience designing and consuming APIs in distributed systems
  • Strong testing discipline (mocks, stubs, integration testing)
• Systems Thinking
  • You think in architecture, not just components
  • You understand performance trade-offs in UI and backend systems
  • You’ve worked on products with real users and non-trivial data flows
  • You can independently break down ambiguous problems into clean implementations
• Bonus (High Signal)
  • Experience with Three.js or spatial/visualization-heavy interfaces
  • Experience scaling SaaS platforms
  • Familiarity with AWS infrastructure
  • Exposure to ML-backed product workflows

Our Team

Become part of a friendly, collaborative team of six developers who love working together. You will primarily collaborate with two backend developers, three frontend developers, one QA specialist, and one product owner. You'll also have opportunities to engage with our ML team and our CTO, driving forward exciting new initiatives.
