Working Hours: 8am to 5pm 1 hour lunch.

Founded in 1983 as a family‑run business, we bring decades of experience in building and bespoke joinery, operating from our 4,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility.

With Local Authority approval since 1985, we deliver a trusted, first‑class service to domestic, commercial, industrial, agricultural, and public sector clients.

Due to the ongoing expansion of the company Tofield are looking for a freelance project manager with commercial experience.

A professional who will work with the operations director to provide support initially from inception though to completion.

This opportunity will allow the individual to develop with the team with a view to potentially becoming a permanent member of the team.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or HND in construction management, engineering, architecture, accounting, or a related field is often preferred.
  • Experience: Typically 3–5 years in a project management or a related role, with experience in construction.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in all Microsoft packages for estimating, project delivery documentation, preparation, and reporting.
  • Analytical Abilities: Strong numeracy, critical thinking, and attention to detail to evaluate costs, production processes, and financial data.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills to interact with clients, contractors, and internal teams.
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and maintain accurate documentation.
