Position Summary: You will be responsible for generating CNC machining programs from 3D CAD models. The role involves advanced robotics for machining and additive manufacturing. Working closely with manufacturing engineers, project managers, and design engineers to deliver patterns, moulds and general tooling.
Key Responsibilities:
- Generating optimum tool paths for CNC finishing (including trimming and sanding).
- Design work holding solutions for CNC finishing processes.
- Write CAPEXs for new equipment, tooling and consumables.
- Setting and Running the LFAM during CNC finishing processes.
- Work with KUKAs (or equivalent) 6-axis articulated robots using CAM software Autodesk Powermill (or equivalent); OEM training will be provided.
- Set up and maintain equipment to a very high standard of positional accuracy.
- Configure and operate robots with additional integrated axes such as rails, positioners, and rotary tables.
- Support Production and Quality Assurance in resolving production challenges and providing solutions to ensure product conformance.
