Tods are looking for practical, mechanically minded individuals to join our team in a diverse workshop and fitting role. If you enjoy hands-on work, problem-solving, and getting involved in a bit of everything, this could be a great fit. Our environment is similar to a dockyard fitting setup; no two days are the same, and we work across a wide range of tasks. Experience is valuable, but we can train many of the specialist skills in house. We are open to candidates with a solid mechanical background who are keen to learn, develop, and get stuck in.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- General mechanical fitting and workshop tasks
- Using a range of hand tools and power tools
- Reading and working from drawings, including measuring and marking out
- Manual handling and lifting operations
- Assisting with slinging and lifting tasks (training available)
- Drilling and tapping using hand drills, mag drills, and workshop equipment
- Working with fibreglass, including sanding, trimming, and routing (training provided)
- Adjusting scaffolding and boarding out work areas
- Supporting a wide variety of workshop and fitting activities as needed

- A mechanical background or hands-on workshop experience
- Confidence using common tools and equipment
