To undertake detailed manufacturing estimates to support responses to customer RFQs. Coordinate cross functional responses to develop accurate material and labour costs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Produce clear and detailed estimates of manufacturing tasks and supplier material pricing.
- Produce outline manufacturing assumptions on minimal durations for manufacturing activities in support of programme plans.
- Attend bid and contract reviews.
- Attend appropriate gate reviews to ensure estimates are being adhered to and discussed accordingly.
- Assist (where appropriate) with ensuring design and manufacturing solutions are the most cost effective.
- Support Production and QA in resolving production issues and non-conformances.
- Introduction of new tools, techniques and products at the estimating stage to aid efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Must be able to obtain basic security clearance.
- Competent numeracy skills.
