Customer Services Officer Tods are looking for professional, reliable and customer-focused Customer Service Officers to join our Security team at our Portland site.

This is an important front-of-house and site security role, providing a visible, reassuring presence while helping to keep our people, visitors, contractors and property safe and secure.

About the role As a Customer Service Officer within Security, you will support the day-to-day protection of the Portland site.

You will welcome visitors and contractors, manage site access, carry out patrols, monitor CCTV, complete accurate incident reporting and ensure security protocols are followed in line with required standards.

The role will be working on a shift basis, 38 hours per week.

Key responsibilities Provide a professional welcome to visitors, customers and contractors.

Control site access and ensure visitors and contractors are correctly signed in and directed.

Carry out site patrols and maintain a visible security presence.

Monitor CCTV and respond appropriately to security or safety concerns.

Open up and lock down buildings and respond to alarm activations when required.

Complete incident logs, reports and other security documentation accurately.

Handle incidents calmly and professionally, helping to defuse potential conflict.

Work closely with security management and emergency services where required.

About you You will be calm, observant and confident communicating with a range of people.

You will take pride in delivering excellent customer service while maintaining high standards of safety, security and professionalism.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Good attention to detail and a vigilant approach to site security.

Good computer literacy and confidence completing reports and records.

Ability to remain calm and professional in all circumstances.

A positive, approachable manner and excellent customer service skills.

Previous security experience is desirable.

An SIA licence is desirable.

Experience within a defence or regulated security environment would be beneficial.
