Position Summary: To undertake detailed manufacturing estimates to support responses to customer RFQs. Coordinate cross functional responses to develop accurate material and labour costs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Produce clear and detailed estimates of manufacturing tasks and supplier material pricing.
  • Produce outline manufacturing assumptions on minimal durations for manufacturing activities in support of programme plans.
  • Attend bid and contract reviews.
  • Attend appropriate gate reviews to ensure estimates are being adhered to and discussed accordingly.
  • Assist (where appropriate) with ensuring design and manufacturing solutions are the most cost effective.
  • Support Production and QA in resolving production issues and non-conformances.
  • Introduction of new tools, techniques and products at the estimating stage to aid efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • Must be able to obtain basic security clearance.
  • Competent numeracy skills.
  • Basic understanding of Technical Drawings/Models.

Knowledge / Skills:

  • Good knowledge of estimating techniques and processes.
  • Computer literate on Microsoft Office and MRP.
  • Experience in composite and polymer materials and manufacturing processes.
  • A broad understanding of CNC, 3D Printing and Modern Production Techniques.
  • Excellent communication skills.
