Tods Technology are looking to recruit Production Operatives to work within our Laminating Team.
The Role:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-focused Laminator Production Operator with specific pre-preg laminating experience. The successful candidate will work as part of a multi-skilled production team, contributing to the delivery of high-quality components within agreed timescales. You will be expected to accurately follow Manufacturing Instruction Sheets, complete Route Cards, and maintain high standards of workmanship, safety, and housekeeping at all times.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare moulds to required standards prior to lamination.
- Read, interpret, and follow Manufacturing Instruction Sheets and Route Cards.
- Mix resins accurately to specified ratios using weight and/or volume measurements.
- Carry out a range of laminating processes, including:
- Wet lay-up
- Pre-preg lamination
- Vacuum infusion
- Identify and report laminating defects and quality issues.
- Use appropriate hand tools safely and effectively.
- Ensure correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work area.
- Work collaboratively within a multi-skilled team to meet production deadlines.
Experience:
- Minimum 2 years laminating experience (preferred).
- Proven experience working with pre-preg materials.
- Good understanding of composite manufacturing processes.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work from written instructions and technical documentation.
- Awareness of health and safety practices in a manufacturing environment.
Additional Information:
- Working hours: 38 hours per week
- 4-day working week: Monday to Thursday 7am - 5pm
- Location: Portland, Dorset
