We are looking for a Logistics Manager to support our UK operations. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years experience in logistics working for an international trading company with knowledge in metals or chemicals.
The responsibilities of this role include the following:
- Commercial support to the Sales Team
- Purchase Order and Sales Contract creation
- Record all offers, negotiations and follow up on deliveries post order placement
- Review stock availability and plan timely shipments for stock replenishment
- Review final commodity price calculation
- Quarterly order book assessment (with relevant sales teams)
- Manage and monitor credit line exposure / ensure punctual payment collection
- Assist in completing paperwork and shipping documentation (strong knowledge of Bill of Lading, CMR, AWB, Packing Lists)
- Follow-up on deliveries and provide support in checking paperwork for all inbound and outbound orders (import/export formalities paper, custom clearance docs, etc.)
- Help maintain the electronic filing system for administrative documentation
- Interact with third-party logistics service providers
- Communication with warehouse staff and overseas offices to ensure effective inventory management
Education:
- Bachelor or master degree in international trade and administration or equivalent industry experience.
Commercial mindset:
- Effective communicator with excellent interpersonal skills in view of the diverse range of people you will work with

Supply chain insight:
- Must have thorough knowledge of incoterms, including CIF, DAP, DDP, FOB, etc.
- Knowledge of planning techniques is a plus, geographical knowledge (especially Europe)
- Understanding of logistics and warehouse operations
- Knowledge of national and international shipping documents and transport regulations is a must
- Experience handling UK imports is a strong plus
Computer skills:
- Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
- Experience with an ERP-system is a plus
Language skills:
- English mandatory.
- Any other European languages are a plus
Office attendance:
- Minimum 3 days office attendance per week
Candidates should ideally reside within the local area (5 to 10 miles or less of the office location - Weybridge, Surrey).
