We are seeking dedicated and passionate, level 3 in childcare qualified, Early Years Practitioners to join our childcare team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting the development and well-being of young children within a nurturing and stimulating environment. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in childcare or early childhood education to make a positive impact on children's lives while developing their management and leadership skills. A valid driving licence is desirable to facilitate transportation needs related to the role.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging activities that promote early childhood development in accordance with curriculum guidelines.
  • Support children’s social, emotional, and physical development through personalised care and guidance.
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment for children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Monitor and record children’s progress, behaviour, and achievements, providing regular feedback to parents and team members.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to organise daily routines and special events.
  • Maintain high standards of health, safety, and hygiene within the nursery setting.
  • Demonstrate effective management and leadership skills by supervising junior staff or apprentices when required.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, colleagues, and external professionals to support children's needs.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements related to childcare provision.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience working with children in a nursery or early years setting (nursery experience preferred).
  • Strong understanding of early childhood education principles and child development stages.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
  • Management and leadership abilities to guide team members effectively.
  • Childcare qualifications such as Level 3 Early Years Educator or equivalent are highly desirable.
  • Valid driving licence is advantageous for transportation duties or errands related to the role.
  • Ability to work flexibly within scheduled hours, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Level 3 in Early Years qualification.
