Our prestigious and market leading client, based in Shipdham, is currently seeking a proactive Electrical and Mechanical Engineer. This is a full-time, permanent position, based in Shipdham.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications in Electrical and Mechanical engineering.
  • An enquiring mindset, can do attitude, strong problem-solving skills, who operates with a sense of urgency and purpose (particularly under breakdown pressure).
  • Able to work effectively within a small team of experienced engineers.

Primary accountabilities:

  • Maintain the mill plant and equipment to continuously ensure the safe and wholesome production of our animal feeds.
  • Work closely with the Production Team and take necessary actions to correct underperformance of plant equipment and machinery through investigation, initiatives and collaboration with the mill team.
  • Investigate and take the necessary corrective actions to resolve any quality issues directly caused or influenced by the mill plant equipment.
  • Drive continuous improvement across the site.

Other duties:

  • Be part of a Maintenance Team call out rota and be available for out of hours call out cover two nights per week (to include rare Sunday cover).
  • Planned Saturday maintenance.

Scope of the role:

Working as a hands-on fitter.

Experience / Qualifications:

  • Experience in a production environment and working with contractors.
  • 18th Edition.
  • A multi-skilled background in Electrical and Mechanical Engineering - NVQ Level 3 / 4 in Electrical Engineering / Electromechanical or equivalent.
