Our client, a growing manufacturing company based in Norwich, are currently seeking a Prep Operative to join their team. This is a full time position on an initial temporary basis, with the possibility of something longer term for the right candidate.
Hours: Monday - Thursday: 7am - 5pm
Skills & Experience:
- Previous experience in a manufacturing, fabrication, or metalworking environment.
- Previous experience with different hand and power tools/machinery.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Good attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Strong understanding of workplace health and safety practices.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Following Engineering drawings.
- Completing prep work for the Sheet Metal.
- Palletising Parts.
- Using tools to take burrs off sheet metal products.
- Organising equipment.
- Pressing sheet metal products into shape.
- Other basic fabrication duties.
