Our client, an expert in manufacturing cleaning products known for delivering reliable, high‑quality services across residential and commercial spaces, is currently looking for a Laboratory Assistant. This is a full‑time role based in Thetford, Monday–Friday. The successful candidate will undertake all aspects of NPD and EPD product development activities to support the team.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- 2‑3 years laboratory experience in an FMCG industry
- Ability to communicate with internal individuals at all levels
- Fluent English communication skills – both verbal and written, with a confident and professional telephone manner
- Good education, degree level preferably (in a scientific discipline) but experience also considered
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment
- Ability to work as part of a cross‑functional team
Responsibilities
- Sample preparation of products to set standards
- Stability and monitoring of finished goods quality in production and actioning failures identified
- Carrying out EPD projects
- Working to good laboratory practices
- Good record keeping
- Good documentation management relevant to the role
- Supporting manufacturing and material trials
- Supporting QA department in some instances
