A fantastic opportunity has become available for a Mill Operative working for a well-established and prestigious company based in Shipdham, Norfolk. This is a full-time position, on an initially temporary basis with the view of going permanent after 12 weeks. The working hours are Monday to Friday 06:00 to 16:30. You will work a 50hr week with 8hrs at basic & 2hr a day at overtime rate. With 2 x 30min breaks, one being paid (weekend working expected during busy periods). With the opportunity to earn extra money with added skills bonuses, as you develop within the organisation.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Fork truck licence
- Flexibility & Adaptability, with a good working attitude.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment to high health, safety and environmental standards.
- Reliability & punctuality are key to the role being part of such a small team.
- Must have a forklift truck licence (ideally counterbalance)
- Applicants must have a full UK driving license and access to a vehicle.
Key Duties:
- Running packing line using automated and semi-automated machinery.
- Developing your skills into running of more complex tasks such as press operation, this will be discussed via a personal development plan. (Full training provided skills payment once trained)
- Adhere to quality standards in order reach customer quality expectations as dictated by the Quality and Feed Safety system.
- Operating a forklift.
- Manual heavy lifting.
- Provide support and cover for all team members.
- Other labouring & housekeeping duties where required.
- Full training will be given to the successful candidate.
