Our prestigious manufacturing-based client, based in Norwich, are seeking a Temporary Supply Chain Project Assistant to join their team. This is a full time role, working 38 hours per week in the Norwich office on a temporary basis, could be extended where possible.
Essential Skills Knowledge & Experience
- Recognised qualification in purchasing or business administration/management.
- Current Driving License.
- Demonstrable experience in a purchasing/Technical sales function working to modern practices.
- Strong verbal, written and presentation skills in English language.
- Excellent level of attention to detail in all tasks performed.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Decision making skills and ability to work to tight deadlines.
- Working knowledge of IT tools and systems.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
Key Accountabilities
- Ensure compliance with US import regulations, including Section 232 (Chapter 99 tariffs) and Part 134 country-of-origin requirements.
- Maintain accurate and complete supplier data to support customs declarations and audit readiness.
- Deliver reliable system-based reporting to support compliance, visibility, and decision-making.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Collect, validate, and maintain supplier-provided data (country of origin, material/metal content).
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders on requirements from both the UK and the US locations.
- Accurately input and manage compliance data within Oracle E1.
- Collaborate with the Business Systems Specialist to design and develop a Hubble report for regulatory outputs.
- Ensure correct application of tariff codes (e.g., Chapter 99 / 9903) and origin information in system records.
- Support internal audits and respond to compliance queries related to US import requirements.
- Identify gaps or risks in supplier data and drive resolution to maintain compliance standards.
Desirable Skills Knowledge & Experience
- Working with equivalent CRM or ERP system.
- CIPS Level 3 or above.
- Background in manufacturing or production planning environments.
