Our client, a growing manufacturing company based in Norwich, are currently seeking a Prep Operative to join their team. This is a full time position on an initial temporary basis, with the possibility of something longer term for the right candidate.

Hours: Monday – Thursday: 7am – 5pm

Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing, fabrication, or metalworking environment.
  • Previous experience with different hand and power tools/machinery.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Good attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Strong understanding of workplace health and safety practices.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Following Engineering drawings.
  • Completing prep work for the Sheet Metal.
  • Palletising Parts.
  • Using tools to take burrs off sheet metal products.
  • Organising equipment.
  • Pressing sheet metal products into shape.
  • Other basic fabrication duties.
