Our client, a growing manufacturing company based in Norwich, are currently seeking a Warehouse Operative to join their team. Ideally, our client is looking for someone with a mechanical background / knowledge.

Job Purpose: Reporting directly to the Warehouse team leader, responsible for working and wrapping of stock and end products, supporting daily KPIs and also working as part of a team to support lean & continual change in line with future company vision, work as part of a team to complete to full the daily delivery output, packaging goods for despatch to customer and receiving goods or material, able to work using own initiative without constant supervision.

KPIs & Performance:

  • Achieving results using good communication between yourself and your team leader; taking part in lean and continuous improvement projects within the warehouse environment in line with quality needs; adhere to ISO 9001 and all company systems, policies, and procedures in support of the business needs.
  • Maintain work flow by adhering to steps of the process; work efficiently around the work variables, using all resources and available methods to perform your function, work in support of continuous improvement; communicate any malfunctions of process; demonstrate a spirit of cooperation within and between departments and your work colleagues and the management team.
  • Work to given priorities; communicate clearly any work or personal problems encountered that may affect your working day; achieve results by adhering to instruction to achieve daily targets through team working.

Quality & Health and Safety:

  • Maintain a quality service by working to set standards and working within the ISO 9001 standard.
  • Observing control points for quality and health & safety, working to avoid introducing a non-conformance.
  • Ensure safe operation of equipment and tools; open to working with new equipment and techniques.
  • Ensure you are adequately trained to perform your duties to meet the health & safety and quality standards.
  • Ensure you wear the correct PPE at all times when necessary.

Warehouse Data & Systems:

  • Participate with requirements in line of change programs and new procedures.
  • Ensure used and sourced materials are to specification and are fit for purpose.
  • All documentation in your control is correct and system inputs are correct if and when required to do so.

Team Working & Continuous Improvement:

  • Attend lean manufacturing workshops / training sessions when required in line of the company’s continuous improvement plans and measures.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing daily targets and results as needed, assisting in maintaining & improving efficiencies through working together supporting your colleagues in line with a change culture.
