Our client, a leading engineering and manufacturing company based in Wymondham, is currently seeking a Composite Production Operative/Carbon Fibre De-Moulding Operative. You will be responsible for carefully extracting cured composite parts from manufacturing moulds. The role requires high attention to detail along with a careful and methodical approach. This is a full-time, permanent position, working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 4:00pm-12:30am. Our client is ideally looking for somebody driven to progress within the composites industry, as there will be plenty of development opportunity.
Skills and Experience Required:
- Attention to detail with exacting standards
- Excellent hand-eye coordination to ensure standards are maintained
- Strong manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for handling delicate, high-value parts, along with a proficiency with basic hand tools, drills and scraper blades etc.
- Previous background in laminating, composites manufacturing or hands-on assembly (desirable)
- Composites or engineering background with a desire to progress into the composites industry (desirable)
Key Duties:
- Part Extraction: Extract cured carbon fibre components safely from various types of tooling
- Tool Care: Use specific release wedges, slide hammers, and air tools without scratching moulds
