Our prestigious, manufacturing client within the Marine and Luxury Yacht industry, are currently seeking multiple Internal Boat Builders who will aid the Internal building of their yachts.
This is a full time, permanent position, based in Wroxham.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
* Robust boatbuilding construction knowledge
* Competent manufacturing knowledge (timber, fibreglass products as an example)
* Knowledge of safe working practices and good understanding of Health and Safety
* Relevant C&G Qualifications or equivalent
* Excellent communication skills
* Skilled use of hand and power tools
* Reading and understanding technical drawings
* Experience of working with raw materials and tools to a good standard
* Previous experience in the marine industry working with timber/GRP boats (Desirable)
This crucial role within the business reports to the Boat Builder Manager, and will be responsible for making and fitting various components across our client’s range of boats, working to precise measurements and details.
Key Job Responsibilities:
* Fitting ply bulkheads.
* Epoxy lay-up of sub-assemblies.
* Making and fitting cabin sole bearers.
* Cladding bulkheads with polished veneered ply.
* Making and fitting a variety of boat furniture.
* Making and fitting sole boards.
* Basic upholstery work on overhead panels etc.
* Making and hanging cabin doors.
* Levelling Boats
Our clients offers flexible working! As follows:
Working a Monday – Friday, 40 hour week… our client offers flexible working with enhanced rates and incentives available. Such as:
* Early starts from 06:30 to complete your 40 hours before a Friday.
* Enhanced overtime rates for completing 40+ hours.
* Additional ‘one off’ payments over 45 hours (alongside the enhanced overtime rates).
