People Partner (Fixed Term Contract)

About the Role

We’re looking for a hands‑on People Partner to join our People Team during a fixed‑term parental leave.

Your work will directly impact continuity of employee relations, payroll accuracy, and contractor compliance across Today Tix Group and Secret Cinema.

This is a fixed‑term contract role (17 August – 4 December 2026) based in the greater London area.

The role is 3 days per week, with a minimum of 2 onsite days at 180 The Strand.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coach managers on performance, conduct, and absence concerns, managing end‑to‑end employee relations cases.
• Advise on the employee lifecycle, including probations, role changes, and contract matters in alignment with UK law and TTG policy.
• Own UK People Operations – flag and action UK Employee Handbook updates and participate in onboarding and off‑boarding across TTG and Secret Cinema.
• Oversee UK payroll – partner with Global Payroll & Benefits Specialist and Finance to meet cutoffs and resolve exceptions.
• Maintain Hi Bob as the source of truth – track and communicate headcount, absences, and organizational changes.
• Run IR35 and contractor compliance – maintain CEST assessments, coordinate QDOS determinations, verify correct classification, and keep audit‑ready trackers.
• Keep leadership informed by advancing work‑streams independently within agreed guardrails, avoiding surprises.
• Key Qualifications
• UK HR generalist experience with deep knowledge of employment law and ER processes.
• Confident people‑partnering style – senior leaders rely on you to coach rather than instruct.
• Operational range – can manage a payroll cycle, compliance tracker, and live ER case simultaneously.
• Fluency with AI tools like Claude to streamline workflows.
• Hi Bob experience – a plus but not required.
• Working knowledge of IR35/off‑payroll rules in a multi‑entity environment.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Proactive, detail‑oriented, independent, and comfortable driving work forward within guardrails.
